Tom Russel, the internationally acclaimed songwriter, has been painting professionally since 2003. His work was first featured on his record covers, until the demand from music and art fans prompted Russell to offer his art for sale in galleries. His paintings now hang in private collections, five star restaurants, hotels and music venues around the world.

Tom Russell has recorded over 25 records and one DVD. His songs have been recorded by Johnny Cash, Doug Sahm, Nancy Griffith, Joe Ely, Iris Dement, Ian Tyson, KD Lang, Suzy Bogguss, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Jeff Walker, Dave Van Rock and others. Russel was born in Los Angeles in 1953 and now makes his home outside of Santa Fe, NM. He graduated from the University of California with a Master's Degree in Criminology and taught school in Nigeria during the Biafran war, before relocating to Vancouver to begin his musical career singing Hank Williams' songs in skid row bars.
